Attachments for Davenport Machines

• The 3rd Position Thread Roll Attachment (1431-SA-SOMMA) is connected to a special swing arm casting with 2 thread rolls.
• The swing arm feeds the attachment until the rolls are on center with the blank diameter of the work piece.
• The attachment feeds the rolls inward on the center line of the work piece.
• When the threads are formed, the roll arms are released.
• The attachment returns to the home position.

• The 4th Position Thread Roll Attachment (1421-SA-SOMMA) is connected to a slide with 2 thread rolls.
• The slide feeds the attachment until the rolls are on center with the blank diameter of the work piece.
• The attachment feeds the rolls inward on the center line of the work piece.
• When the threads are formed, the roll arms are released.
• The attachment returns to the home position.

• Consists of a cam operated arm.
• Can be mounted with any kind of left hand end working tool (ie countersinks, drill, turning tools, reamers, etc.)
• After cutoff, the arm is positioned in front of the burring spindle. The workpiece can then be fed into the desired tool.

There is a chucking mechanism on the burring spindle that can be actuated at any time during the cycle. This facilitates the use of this attachment.
